Hello, and welcome to my blog!
I’m Seiko, a Japanese food enthusiast living in vibrant Melbourne, Australia.
This blog is my little haven where I share my love for cooking.
I hope to inspire my daughter to embrace the art of preparing beloved Japanese dishes—just as my parents passed their culinary traditions down to me.
Growing up in Japan, food was more than sustenance—it was an unspoken language of love.
My dad, a traditional Japanese man, rarely expressed his emotions openly. But I always felt his affection through the meals we shared.
Whether it was cooling ice cream on a hot summer day or the ritual of Japanese BBQ every Saturday, those moments of connection were deeply meaningful.
My mum, on the other hand, taught me the importance of healthy eating and reducing food waste.
These are values I carry with me to this day
Since moving to Australia, I’ve been fortunate to explore and appreciate the incredible variety of cuisines around me.
Twenty years ago, I tasted Vietnamese Banh Mi for the first time.
I was instantly captivated by its vibrant and delicious flavors
Through this blog, I hope to celebrate cherished memories, explore diverse global flavors, and create new experiences to share and pass down. Thank you for joining me on this delicious journey!
